We care for children and young adults with progressive, life shortening conditions from across the North East.

Our team of skilled staff provide residential short breaks to local families. Up to six children and young adults can stay at any one time in our relaxed, home-from-home environment.

Children from birth to 18 can benefit from short breaks here. Teenagers benefit from their own living area – complete with games consoles, wide screen TV and PC’s.

We also care for young adults aged 18- 25 in designated, age-appropriate facilities.

Situated within the Alan Shearer Centre, our specialist home offers residential accommodation for adults with profound and multiple disabilities, offering longer term, safe and nurturing care and support. In addition, our disabled residents have full access to the on-site Activity Centre.

I am a very reliable, caring, friendly, OFSTED registered childminder. I provide a well equipped and stimulating safe environment for children of all ages. I provide various interesting activities for both indoor and outdoor experiences to enhance learning and development in children. I work with the parents to achieve positive result in the caring of children. We often visit various places such as Sure Start centres, parks, local libraries, farms, beaches, museums and shops etc. 

 

We provide a safe and stimulating environment for children's learning and development. The setting implements the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and ensures all children have equal access and opportunity to actively learn and develop.  Outdoor access is available all year round to extend experiences. During my 29 years in childcare I worked in many areas including Nursery, Reception, Special Needs, Nanny and now childminding. Pathways 4 All is a parent-led charity, providing leisure services for children and young people with disabilities/ additional needs (0-25 years old). Our primary service is a specialist play and activity provision, the Tim Lamb Centre (in the grounds of the Rising Sun County Park, Benton). Our centre is open to families from across the North East region.

I run a toddlers group on a Friday and attend  childminders drop ins and messy church.We regularly visit the local library and parks, we organise and plan together summer outings ie: to the beach, sea life centre, and the farm. We attend sessions at the local childrens centre such as dance sacks, art and craft, and story time.

I am a qualified teacher and have had experience of working with primary children in school ranging from 2-10 years of age. I have been a childminder for the last 15 years.I engage the children in a variety of activities including home based play, outings to local amenities eg parks, farms, soft play, museums & visits to toddler groups and music sessions.
