Our aim at Dinnington First School is to provide a happy, stimulating environment where children will be encouraged to co-operate wholeheartedly with other children and staff who will help them to develop fully their individual, intellectual, physical, emotional and spiritual potential.
To this end we shall ask parents to work with us so that together we may promote the growth of respect for one another and care for the physical environment as well as the attainment of the highest possible academic standards.
The school is a Community Co-educational First School. The building has a large hall and adjoining dining area. We have six classrooms for Key stages 1 & 2. The Foundation Stage Unit for Nursery and Reception age children consists of three classrooms and an outside play area / outdoor classroom. We have a small group working room / medical room and library areas. We also have a centralised computer suite with controlled access to the Internet.
Grange First School is a community school catering for a maximum of 352 boys and girls between the ages of 3 and 9 years.
Regent Farm First School is conveniently located on Wansbeck Road, close to the metro station and other transport links.
We are a larger than average first school. We take children from Nursery to Year 4. We have approximately 320 children on roll and 51 members of staff.

In April 2022, Havannah First School was created when Broadway East First School relocated to Newcastle Great Park and changed its name to reflect the new location. This move has been planned for a long time and we are delighted to now be in our wonderful, state of the art brand new school and grounds. We are still part of the Gosforth Schools' Trust and are part of the Gosforth three tier Pyramid.

I run a toddlers group on a Friday and attend childminders drop ins and messy church.We regularly visit the local library and parks, we organise and plan together summer outings ie: to the beach, sea life centre, and the farm. I access Sure Start Centres for a variety of activities. I take the children swimming, and visit Gosforth Park. There is a group of childminders who get together on a regular basis with the children where they interact.
I have a large house and conservatory which the children have access too and a large enclosed back garden where the children are free to play securely.

Following changes in how before and after school provisions are inspected by Ofsted I received MET when I was inspected in January 2020. The report explains what it is like for a child to attend my setting. I also have up to date feedback from previous as well as current childminding families which I can share with you.
In my home we have lots of toys both educational and fun, jigsaws, musical instruments, dolls, dressing up clothes, play dough, painting, sticking, glueing, and I have a computer.
