West End Women and Girls Best Summer Ever 2025

Monday to Thursday during the holidays. Monday 21 July - Thursday 28 August 2025.

Mondays 11am-3pm, Tuesdays 11am-3pm, Wednesdays 11am-3pm, Thursday 12am-4pm

* Family Picnic in the Park, Open access activities for all the community, including activities in our community garden, litter pick in Elswick Park, sports activities in the MUGA with Hatrick and games, swim in Elswick Pool. Providing a free meal.

*Junior Playscheme, aged 5-11. These include themed days such as old-fashioned sports day, have a bash day, art and crafts day, garden days, farm trips and clear up the park day etc. 

*Inter Playscheme, aged 8-13, harvesting produce from the community garden and our rural farm to cook nutritious and healthy meals, going for bike rides and litter picks in the community. 

*Older Girls, aged 13-19. This group will travel in our minibus to our farm in rural Northumberland to plant trees, care for our sheep, lambs, chickens and ducks. The girls will be working on their own projects, mucking out the barns, clearing the camping area, building an outdoor pizza over, harvest the fruit and vegetables and camp out in the last week of term in reward for their hard work.

**Please note that all youth clubs are for Girls and Women only

To book: Monday Picnic in the Park turn up and sign in on the morning. Other days priority are given to regular members, please call or email to see if there are any vacant spaces first.

The Department of Education Holiday Activity Fund programme is to support young people aged 4-16 attending Newcastle City Councils schools that are eligible for Free Schools Meals or in need during the Easter, Summer and Christmas holidays.
