SEN sessions at the Owl Tree Community Nest. Children can run, climb, and explore in the larger hall with a soft play area. They can also use the sensory room. Included is a reserved table in the main cafΓ© for families with SEN children. For children aged 0-5, but older children are welcome.
Every other Friday: 1:30pm - 5:00pm
Every other Monday: 10:30am - 2:30pm
No need to book in advance. You can arrive and leave anytime between the times shown.

These activity sessions are for children and young people with additional needs aged 4 to 7. We provide fun sports, games and activities to help children enjoy being active.
Β£3 per person.
All needs and abilities are catered for.
Siblings are welcome to come along.

Our Contemporary Dance Class is open to young people with learning disabilities who enjoy dance.
All you have to do is turn up! Led by a qualified contemporary dance practitioner.
Beginners contemporary is perfect for those wishing to attend a fun class. This class will leave you feeling energised, inspired and worked out!

Whoβs it for?
Parents and carers of children with SEND β no diagnosis needed. No referral needed, you can just drop in. There is no cost to attend.
Where and when is it?
Galafield Family Hub on the 2nd & last Friday of the month, 9:30-11:30am

East End Pool has inclusive swimming sessions. These are for people with sensory needs or disabilities.
There is a Disability changing room/shower and also a pool hoist for easy access into the pool. We also offer changing facilities for young people with continence issues.

Swimming is an essential life skill for everyone. We believe that everyone should feel comfortable and confident in the water.
We offer a variety of swimming lessons tailored for both adults and children, including those with:


Browse and borrow a wide range of toys for children (0-5) with special educational needs. These can help with your child's learning and development. Toys can be borrowed for up to 4 weeks.
The library is open Monday to Friday during term time.

A dedicated trampoline session for customers with special educational needs and disabilities. These sessions will not be available for the general public. Trampoline socks must be worn.
Thursdays: 3:00pm-6:00pm
Tickets can be booked online https://bookings.better.org.uk/location/newcastle-trampoline-gym/trampoline-park or by contacting the centre directly.
Each paying ticket admits one carer free of charge.
For ages 12 to 16 years old.
Each session contains a mixture of activities including:
- sports
- cooking
- arts and crafts
- challenging games
The senior sessions can be more focused on helping with:
- college applications
- school GCSE work and resources
- CV writing
- fundraising
Each session has mixed ability activities to suit the needs of the children and young people. We also work with local artists on some activities.

We are a small team of massage therapists We specialise in massage therapy for individuals with Special Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND). We work with all ages 3 years old+.
What do we offer?

The sensory room has a range of sights, sounds, textures, and fidget toys. Perfect for children up to age 5 with sensory needs.
Β£3 per adult (up to 3 accompanied children).
Β£10 per hour to hire the full sensory room.
