The Chronicle Sunshine Fund is a local North East charity. We provide specialist and adapted equipment to children aged 0-19 living with disabilities, additional needs, chronic and terminal illness.
We can help you get equipment that is not available from Newcastle City Council or the NHS. It can make a big different to the daily life of your child, as well as your family.

What's inside the Sensory Shuttle?

We are a small team of massage therapists We specialise in massage therapy for individuals with Special Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND). We work with all ages 3 years old+.

FREE Inclusive Art & Craft Workshops – Summer Series!
For ages 8+
Hosted by Disability North, led and delivered by Zoe from Zone 31 CIC!
Join us for a summer of fun, creative, and sensory-friendly art sessions designed for all abilities! Each week features different activities that are fully adaptable and inclusive, perfect for anyone who loves to get creative or try something new.
What to Expect Across the Sessions:


For children and young people with SEND aged 14 to 24 years old
Join us for an action-packed summer school where there is something new to try each day; sign up and you can enjoy sports, gaming, dance, film, and crafts with dedicated arts professionals to help you learn new skills. The week ends with 'Fun day Friday' featuring a film screening of your choice. We invite you to takeover GCT with your energy and enthusiasm.

Each week is a different fun activity including; cooking, baking, pool table, foosball, video games, board/card games, arts & crafts, balloon modelling and much more.
Our Holiday Clubs are for children aged 7-15 with SEND however a diagnosis is not required and siblings are welcome too! £12 per child.
Sessions will be led by Natalie at Mochii and are supported by the Kings Trust ✨

Join us for a fun and engaging experience at the Youth Group (for ages 6-14, low/medium needs).
Meet new friends, participate in activities, and grow together in a supportive environment. Activities include:

Only £12 for 3 hours of fun and games.
St Hughs Church is wheelchair accessible.

Take part in design and build challenges and meet other gamers at the Farrell Centre’s own Minecraft club.
This club will use Minecraft to explore architecture, design and city planning. Gamers and parents can share their creations.

The Lighthouse Project arose from our passion for working with young people on the Byker Estate and the frustration with the lack of purpose-built facilities in the area to support this work. Our mission was to create an inspiring youth and community space in the heart of Byker that will support quality youth and community engagement and have a lasting impact on the community of Byker for many years to come.

Tyneside Women’s Health was established in 1985 with the key aim of helping women to improve their mental health and emotional wellbeing.
Tyneside Women’s Health offers a range of interventions for women including drop in sessions, support groups, mental health courses, counselling, and various therapeutic activities such as relaxation. We have also introduced a range of online and virtual support services. Please visit our website for more information.
Our main Centre is based in central Gateshead, and we have a second Centre in Byker, Newcastle.

Ridley Villas is supported housing that provides help for women who have children, who are living in Newcastle and Gateshead who need support with overcoming issues with drugs or alcohol, or both.
A group for women in the North East (18+) with learning disabilities and/or autism. Make new friends, do new things and feel safe whilst doing so. Anyone who identifies as a women is welcome.
Trips out, coffee morning, pamper sessions and MORE.
There is no cost to attend the group. On days where there are entry fees, ticket costs, or food and drinks, group members much pay for themselves.

Here at The King’s Trust, we offer various programmes aiming to get young people between the ages of 11 and 30 into education, training or employment. We do this by delivering programmes based around building confidence, employability and wellbeing skills. We offer work experience programmes as well as employment opportunities.
