The Charity Patchwork was set up in order to help and educate young people between the ages of 8 and 25 years resident in the West End of Newcastle Upon Tyne and the surrounding area. This includes those who are involved in the Criminal Justice System or at risk of becoming involved in the Criminal Justice System, without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or political, religious or other opinion.
This course is ideal for you whether you have been out of work for a while or recently out of work and would like support to move into employment, self-employment or further training.
Through this 5-week course, you will be supported to increase confidence & motivation and to think about & put a plan in place to help you to move forward and take your next steps.

We offer a range of outdoor and adventure activities including canoeing, paddle boarding, climbing, multisports, Duke of Edinburgh, coasteering, archery and loads more.
We accomodate school parties from year 2 upwards. Our activities and packages can be delivered on-site at your school or off-site, dependent on the activity. We have lots of options to choose from, with a huge variety of activities available. Our primary school options focus on skills such as resilience, problem solving, planning, and leadership.

We would like to introduce a new project for you all to join in as one community. #JOURNEY (This is a group for adults)
We have been awarded funding from "The Heritage Lottery Fund". This funding will enable us to continue the legacy of Fr Michael Conaty. We can keep his memories alive and remind us of what he achieved within the Walker community from 1969.
The project will work through three different stages.
Stage One - Creating memories.
Founded by disabled people in 1991 Arcadea is a disability arts organisation and registered charity that works to create better access to the arts for disabled people.
Cooking, Healthy Eating, Fitness & Fun
A range of activities will be on offer these will include cooking, physical activities, enrichment activities such as arts & crafts and fun, engaging ways to learn about food and nutrition.
This is a warm, caring and kind place because:
- We have a quiet/calm space for young people to chill out in.
- Activities can be adapted if needed
- We can offer peer support if required
- Parents/carers can contact staff to discuss individual needs.
