We’re excited to let you know that Stomping Grounds North East will be running a Summer Holiday Club at Benwell Nature Park this year for children and young people aged 5-12 and in receipt of benefit-related free school meals. Our sessions will be full of outdoor fun, nature-based play, and exciting activities for children to enjoy in a safe, supportive environment. Access to child-led experiences in nature is proven to support good mental health and well-being.


SVP Deaf Centre is a charity providing care, comfort and compassion for disadvantaged families and individuals within the community, both non-hearing and hearing alike. As the centre is part of the wider organisation of St Vincents de Paul, we embody SVP values while also having a unique focus on bettering the lives of those who have experience of deafness
We've got lots on this summer. There will be trips, sports and games, and lots of opportunities to have fun while learning. Our exciting project this year is a Community Art Installation. We will work with clay, drawing and music, inspired by local sites.

We run fun, free sessions for kids. It’s part of the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme. But don’t worry—we keep it simple! Your child can: make friends play games and try sports, get creative with arts and crafts, enjoy a free, tasty lunch.


True Colours is an inclusive theatre school for children and young people living in the North East. They run classes designed to build confidence and celebrate diversity in a safe and nurturing environment.

Comets is a pan-disability football programme for disabled boys and girls aged between 5 and 11. Players with a broad range of impairments and health conditions can play together.
Comets is all about playfulness, friendships and having fun. More than anything, Comets is football that breaks the old rules and replaces them with a brand new one: JUST BE YOU.
The sessions are ran by lots of brilliant and enthusiastic coaches, the kids love it every week.

As the impacts of climate change intensify every year, more and more young people are joining the movement to take action and raise awareness to protect our planet and wildlife.
Eco Influencers provides opportunities for young people aged 10-18 to design and deliver their own environmental social action projects that really make a difference. From outdoor eco classrooms to mindfulness wildlife gardens and recycling campaigns, young people across the region are leading the way.

Looking for fun, free activities this summer? Our Junior sessions are perfect for ages 5–11. Every day is packed with things to enjoy! Here’s what your child can look forward to: • Sports, games, and outdoor play • Arts, crafts, and creative fun • Music, dancing, and drama • A free, healthy meal every day.
We create a safe and friendly space. Children can make friends, try new things, and have fun.


Monthly themed fun family session for children 0-8 years and their parents and carers.
East End Pool has inclusive swimming sessions. These are for people with sensory needs or disabilities.
There is a Disability changing room/shower and also a pool hoist for easy access into the pool. We also offer changing facilities for young people with continence issues.

Gosforth Civic Theatre is an arts venue, café and community hub in Gosforth, and is home to, and run by, Liberdade Community Development Trust.
We opened Gosforth Civic Theatre in 2016, and in 2019 we hosted more than 900 events and activities, and invited over 50,000 people through our doors. In the words of Ozzy, one of our founding members, we opened the theatre because;

We are Olympic-style wrestling club located in East End Pool in Byker. We will be having mini wrestling camps for kids and teens this summer on Fridays including lots of games, activities, and healthy food options after from the poolside café.
