Whether you have months, weeks or days left to live, we're here for you with clinical and emotional care, supporting you to be comfortable, free of pain and other symptoms, and able to live the best life you can to the end.
We're all unique, and what matters most to you matters most to us. We'll care for you at home and in our hospices, and give you practical and emotional help over the phone and online. We're here for the people closest to you too, right now and in the future.
Two classes: 12months to 4 years
Join our playful classes, that will get you and your little one moving together in fun and creative ways. Themes: supporting physical, sensory and social development.
£3 per child. Pay on the day, cash or card.
Move creatively for fitness and pleasure in a relaxed and friendly environment.
£5 per class
Movement class to music for over 40's.
General level class, bendy and non-bendy welcome. Suitable for beginners.

balletLORENT is a national touring dance theatre company based at the John Marley Centre, Newcastle. We create performance works for all ages, and have an extensive community dance class and workshop programme.

A parent and toddler group is a welcoming and friendly group of adults. This includes mothers, fathers, childminders or carers. They all come together in their own community with their children who are under the age of 5. This parent and groups offer play opportunities for children from birth to 18months old, as well as an opportunity to mix with others. They also offer support to adults and a break from the normal routines of the day.

Little Explorers is a warm and welcoming group for children aged 1+ and their parent/carer. We offer a variety of play opportunities both indoors and outdoors.

The harm reduction service delivers a range of open access and confidential support for drug and alcohol users. You can access support such as needle and syringe exchange, nursing support, blood-borne virus testing, and access to naloxone. You will also get lots of advice or information, and the staff will work with other services to support your needs.
There are other needle exchange services in the city, including pharmacy exchanges, and the exchange at the Joseph Cowan Health Centre.
George Street Social is run by the Road to Recovery Trust with the aim to help and support people recover from addiction. There are a range of support groups and mutual aid groups running from George Street Social, which is a safe and welcoming space. You can be at any stage of your recovery to attend.
The drug and alcohol social work team is a small specialist team who can do an assessment for suitability for residential rehabilitation for adults living in Newcastle. If you want to be considered for residential rehabilitation you need to be in treatment or have a specialist assessment with the Newcastle Treatment and Recovery service.
Oaktrees offers a fully supported and structured, 12 step intensive programme for people wanting to become sober. The programme lasts around 12 weeks with good links to a range of fellowship and recovery groups in the city. To access Oaktrees, you should have had a specialist assessment or support plan from NTaR, but you can call the service for more information.

The Streetwise Project Workers offer young people who attend the Hub a chance to have their say.
Each week, they will ask those who attend to choose what they would like to eat. The young people then shop for healthy ingredients. After that they prepare the food to cook for themselves and their peers.
There are also engaging and fun activities including board games and a Playstation 5.

The British Society for Paediatric Dentistry has launched a set of infographics with the Top 3 tips for preventing tooth decay aimed at improving oral health which have now been translated into the five languages.
The aim is that the infographics will be widely used by both dental and non-dental healthcare professionals to support conversations about good oral health behaviours and become a key tool for in-surgery preventive advice.
