Here at The King’s Trust, we offer various programmes aiming to get young people between the ages of 11 and 30 into education, training or employment. We do this by delivering programmes based around building confidence, employability and wellbeing skills. We offer work experience programmes as well as employment opportunities. Live Well Learn Well provides one-to-one and small group coaching to young people. Our coaching enables young people to overcome barriers to learning, and helps them to develop the confidence and motivation they need to succeed in school.

We work with young people who struggle with a range of issues, including low self-esteem, anxiety, poor body image, and exam stress.

We also coach adults who work in education, with a focus on stress management and preventing burnout.

We are a tutor matching service providing home and private tutors in your area for primary, secondary and degree level private or home tuition. Our UK private tutors cover a wide range of subjects including English and Maths and other niche subjects like languages. Private tuition for Entrance exams, A-Levels, GCSEs and SATs are all catered for across the UK.

Sporting Chance is a local community organisation. We aim to overcome some of the barriers young people may face and we strive to provide a holistic service to all our members. 

This is Creative Enterprise (TICE) CIC is a non-profit organisation dedicated to support young students in exploring the creative sector in regards to career prospects and/or the choices in vocational and academic pathways..

When we describe what it is that we do at This is Creative Enterprise, the response we always get is, “I wish I’d had that when I was at school”... so, what do we do? We work with businesses, schools, colleges and universities to give young people a taste of the opportunities that exist within the commercial creative, design and digital industries.

Oxfam Shops provide an essential source of income for Oxfam's work.  In this role you will gain valuable work experience in the area of finance by assisting with the recording and processing of the shop income and/or associated expenditure for all of Oxfam GB's shops. This role is based in our Newcastle Finance Office.

Northern Learning Trust provides support for young people, families and adults living in Newcastle.  Our work covers Skills for Life, Skills for Work and Family Learning.

What is The Angelou Centre?

Gosforth Central Middle School caters for a maximum of 504 boys and girls between the ages of 9 and 13 years. In recent years each year group year has been oversubscribed with particular demand in Years 5 and 7.

Most of our pupils are drawn from Archbishop Runcie, Grange and South Gosforth First Schools. However, pupils from other schools are admitted each year, so long as places are available.

We’re here to help every child feel valued, inspired, and equipped for whatever comes next. From Reception to Year 4, we focus on building strong foundations in learning and wellbeing, while fostering resilience, kindness, and a love for discovery.

Our nursery is open for 3-4 year olds.
