The Turf @ St John's is a community facility run by St John's Primary School.
Between the hours of 9am and 4.30pm the Turf is often used by the school, however external bookings may be available for the pitch and the indoor hall & activity area. From 5pm to 9.30pm every weekday and all across the weekend a variety of sessions take place or the turf is available for private hire at extremely competitive prices
Our pitch is ideal for junior football training & 7 v 7 matches, and adult social games with friends or colleagues.
Founded in 2005 through a partnership between The FA and UEFA Hat-Trick delivers around 70 sessions each week to people in Newcastle upon Tyne and now in Gateshead.
We support the young people to reach their full potential by providing opportunities to participate in positive activities that offer training, qualifications & leadership. We work across the city of Newcastle and borough of Gateshead in areas of high deprivation, the top 10 percent of most deprived neighbourhoods across the country.

We provide hot and healthy meals to families every Tuesday and Thursday during school holidays, as well as crafts, games and enrichment activities. We are open 11.15am – 1pm.

Usually we run a football club which takes pride in offering football for all regardless of ability, gender, religion.
Our dance sessions are for children ages 5-12 years old. The sessions are a mix of dance and fitness styles including Street Dance, general dance, Zumba, and much more.
Northern Cultural Projects fosters community development through inclusive, participatory cultural projects.

This is a community event with local community organisers coming together to provide free activities for families over 3 days. This includes arts and crafts, sports, cooking, storytelling, climbing wall, fire and police vehicles. Takes place in Walker Park on Wednesday 26th - Friday 28th July 2023 from 12noon - 3pm.
Come and join us at Newcastle Trampoline Park for a free bounce during the summer holidays. Free drink and snack included.

The service supports young people living in Newcastle, through a range of projects offering holistic support, information and advice. All interventions are delivered with the Barnardo’s Trauma Informed practice. Projects include: The Independence Project: Young People aged 12-18 years. 1:1 support, for up to 6months. Support offered at early help level, around emotional wellbeing through a social prescribing model. |
