Journey Enterprises is a local north east charity which provides life-skills and employability training for young adult/adults with learning disabilities and autism. The Charity’s mission is to enable people with learning disability and autism to lead active, inclusive and fulfilling lives. Journey supports conditions such as Down’s Syndrome, Williams Syndrome, Sotos, Prader Willi ,Fragile X, Cerebral Palsy and autism. |

Learning for Life is a registered charity and Northeast provider of education and social care services for children and adults aged 16 plus who have a diverse range of complex needs and disabilities.

The Care Farming Programme is for adults with learning disabilities, difficulties and autism. Learn new skills and gain confidence. Work as part of a team in Ouseburn Farm's farmyard, gardens or visitor centre.

Pathways to Working Life
This pathway is for young people with a learning disability and/or difficulty who would like to develop their skills and progress into employment whilst working on core skills such as maths and English along with employment skills. The course will help you with your personal social and economic welfare, and you will receive pastoral support to help you fulfil your aspirations and reach your goals.

Drop in anytime between 10am and 12pm on the dates listed.
Each month there is a focus on a particular topic. However, you can talk with us about any other sexual health and relationships topics.
There is no cost. Free Condoms and sexually transmitted infection (STI) test kits are available at all sessions!

Archibald First School is situated in the heart of Gosforth and is part of the Gosforth Schools Trust. We are a two form entry First School with a Nursery as part of our Early Years Unit. There are no mixed age classes at Archibald First School, each class has a designated teacher and at least one shared Teaching Assistant. In addition to our classrooms we have a computing suite, two large halls, a library, a sensory room and additional group teaching spaces.

Central Walker Church of England Primary School is a Voluntary Aided School that caters for boys and girls between the ages of 2 and 11 years. It is part of The Riverside Learning Trust. Children normally transfer to Walker Technology College or Benfield School in the September after their eleventh birthday. The staff of the secondary schools liaise closely, the children visit and meet the teachers on many occasions before they transfer.


Our ethos of care and humour coupled with fantastic progress and attainment is our recipe for success. Cheviot is a happy school where taking responsibility for ourselves and other people and working hard to achieve our best is what we do every day!


We believe that working in partnership with families, involving them in children’s learning, is a strength of our school. The school has had a strong tradition of working with families for over 120 years. We are a small family orientated school and our size enables us to reassure parents that we can really get to know their unique and special children. Because we are small we can really spend time getting to know our families well. Each year has 30 children or less, with every class having additional support to ensure your child achieves their very best. F

The school is a Community Co-educational First School. The building has a large hall and adjoining dining area. We have six classrooms for Key stages 1 & 2. The Foundation Stage Unit for Nursery and Reception age children consists of three classrooms and an outside play area / outdoor classroom. We have a small group working room / medical room and library areas. We also have a centralised computer suite with controlled access to the Internet.


Grange First School is a community school catering for a maximum of 352 boys and girls between the ages of 3 and 9 years.


Hotspur is a primary school for children aged 3 - 11 years old. In addition it also offers playgroup (2-3 year olds) Nursery with wrap around care (3-4 year olds) and year-round childcare (3-11 year olds). Children are valued and cared for by an exceptional team of teachers and support staff. We recognise and encourage individual talents and interests and ensure that children are safe, happy and enjoy learning.

Lemington Riverside is a 3-11 year old primary school serving the suburb of Lemington in the city of Newcastle Upon Tyne. Our school is located across three large buildings that were built in the Georgian era, we also have a Community Hub on site offering various additional services and activities to our community outside of school hours.
