Westgate Community College provides a wide range of community education courses. Each year we provide courses across around 40 subjects involving 700 part-time students.
Facilitating creative and vocational opportunities
Flow is committed to facilitating, promoting and enhancing the future for young adults with additional needs. We wish to engage young people in creative and vocational opportunities to develop their skills and self-esteem in order for them to play a purposeful role within the community.
We are a local charitable company which is helping people who are disadvantaged in the workplace to get jobs, work experience, training and a sense of purpose. Our people develop greater self-esteem, more confidence, better mental health and have real opportunities to contribute positively and regularly to society and to be seen doing so.We do this by running a number of enterprises that provide volunteer jobs in catering, packing and distribution, gardening, warehousing, cleaning and office administration.
Liberdade provide performing arts and health and well-being courses for adults with learning disabilities and autism. We currently have 2 new courses starting in September 2022.
We are Liberdade. Our organisation started in 2003 as an apprenticeship scheme with the aim of enabling a group of people with learning disabilities to set up and run their own physical theatre company.
As a company we made some decisions about what we wanted our organisation to achieve. They were:

Central Walker Church of England Primary School is a Voluntary Aided School that caters for boys and girls between the ages of 2 and 11 years. It is part of The Riverside Learning Trust. Children normally transfer to Walker Technology College or Benfield School in the September after their eleventh birthday. The staff of the secondary schools liaise closely, the children visit and meet the teachers on many occasions before they transfer.
Our ethos of care and humour coupled with fantastic progress and attainment is our recipe for success. Cheviot is a happy school where taking responsibility for ourselves and other people and working hard to achieve our best is what we do every day!
We believe that working in partnership with families, involving them in children’s learning, is a strength of our school. The school has had a strong tradition of working with families for over 120 years. We are a small family orientated school and our size enables us to reassure parents that we can really get to know their unique and special children. Values
Hotspur is a primary school for children aged 3 - 11 years old. In addition it also offers playgroup (2-3 year olds) Nursery with wrap around care (3-4 year olds) and year-round childcare (3-11 year olds). Lemington Riverside is a 3-11 year old primary school serving the suburb of Lemington in the city of Newcastle Upon Tyne.
