Inspired Support Ltd are highly-qualified, trained and experienced professionals. Our focus is on supporting people with a learning difficulty or with an Autistic Spectrum condition to develop the life they want. Inspired Support base our approach on fun and exciting opportunities that enable people to utilise their skills, talents and interests and show how these can be put to good use. We support people to develop life skills, friendships, contacts and experiences that will broaden their horizons.
In 1976, armed with a single phone in a rented office, Dimensions began supporting people with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs out of institutions, helping them lead ordinary lives in their local communities.
Forty years on, our work is fundamentally unchanged: we support people with learning disabilities and autistic people to have a louder voice, choice and control in their lives. Our 7000 colleagues deliver ambitious, effective, personalised support often with those whose previous support has not been successful.
The Alan Shearer Short Break Centre offers specialised breaks, from overnight to longer stays, for children and adults with a range of disabilities.
Our dedicated staff are trained in caring for people with profound and multiple disabilities, autism and Asperger's Syndrome.
We offer skilled and experienced support for those with additional health or medical needs and those who require specialist care.
Over The Wall provides FREE residential activity camps for children and teenagers living with serious health challenges and their families, to enable them to reach beyond their perceived limitations and rediscover a whole new world of possibilities. Our camps help develop the confidence, self esteem, coping strategies and peer relationships of our campers.
Our Programmes
West End Women and Girls Centre is the first and only open access, community based women and girls centre in Newcastle, we aim to build the power of women and girls, who have been and continue to be disenfranchised. We seek to drive positive change in the world, our community and in women and girls lives.
We do this through group work where women and girls have the opportunity to meet, have fun, learn skills, look at issues relevant their lives and generally build confidence in a safe and supportive environment.
A group for anyone who has autism. Meet the first Wednesday of the month at Skills for People. It runs from 6pm to 8pm If you would like to come please ring the office on 0191 281 8737 and let us know.
For over 35 years we've led the way in providing specialist care, education and services for children, young people and adults with autism, across the North-east of England.
Recognised for our innovation and excellence, everything we do stems from an unswerving belief in providing bespoke person-centered support. It’s at the heart of who we are to recognise the uniqueness of every human being, and to understand that as a spectrum condition no two people with autism will have the same needs or wants.
