Fun and friendly soft play at Galafield Family Hub.
There are two areas in our soft play. One is for younger children 0-2 years old. The other area is for 2-6 year olds.
A fun, weekly girls youth session. This is a youth led group.

A parent and toddler group for all parents and babies / toddlers.
We provide free tea & coffee with biscuits & juice. We also offer free surplus food for those who need it.
As part of the SEND Celebration Events in June 2024, 'Skills for People' organised two Pamper Days for Newcastle Parent/Carers of children and young people with additional needs.
Parents/carers came along for a free morning of pampering, relaxation, a tasty lunch and a chat with other parent/carers.

Monthly themed fun family session for children 0-8 years and their parents and carers.
Our group is welcoming, friendly and an inclusive mainstream session. We are open to every child under 5. This is a music session.

Calling all dads and male carers. Join us, with the children you look after, for a fun filled play session.
This is a drop in session - no need to book.

A parent and toddler group is a welcoming and friendly group of adults. This includes mothers, fathers, childminders or carers.
They all come together in their own community with their children who are under the age of 5.
Parent and toddler groups offer play opportunities for children from birth to 5 year old, as well as an opportunity to mix with others. They also offer support to adults and a break from the normal routines of the day.
Booking maybe required at some groups.

East End Pool has inclusive swimming sessions. These are for people with sensory needs or disabilities.
There is a Disability changing room/shower and also a pool hoist for easy access into the pool. We also offer changing facilities for young people with continence issues.

An inclusive art class held on the first Saturday of every month for 10- 15 year olds.

Gosforth Civic Theatre is an arts venue, café and community hub in Gosforth, and is home to, and run by, Liberdade Community Development Trust.
We opened Gosforth Civic Theatre in 2016, and in 2019 we hosted more than 900 events and activities, and invited over 50,000 people through our doors. In the words of Ozzy, one of our founding members, we opened the theatre because;

Walker Outdoor Week
Monday 21st and Tuesday 22nd July at Stott's Park (East End football club) from 12-3pm.
Wednesday 23rd, Thursday 24th and Friday 25th July at Walker park (Scrogg Road) from 12-3pm.
Our annual Walker outdoor week consist of 5 days of fun, fitness and friendly activities free of charge to children and young people. The program will be on offer across 2 parks in the East end of the city.


We are Olympic-style wrestling club located in East End Pool in Byker. We will be having mini wrestling camps for kids and teens this summer on Fridays including lots of games, activities, and healthy food options after from the poolside café.
Every Friday during the summer break (1:30pm-3:30pm kids; 3:30pm-5:30pm teens)
