The Great Run Company deliver some of the finest sporting events in existence across the UK. Alongside the event arm of the business, additional product lines include Film Nova, a UK based film production arm operating globally with partners including BBC Sport, FIFA and international athletic competitions. We will gain insight into the size and scale of the firm and talk to staff before taking part in a hands on activity on the quayside. Lunch will be provided.

We are seeking a cohort of 12 students who are seriously considering committing to a future career in law as we take them into two very different and very well regarded Newcastle based law firms. Taking place across two consecutive mornings, students will join Jacksons Law on day one and Womble Bond Dickinson on day two and explore family, personal, commercial, employment, regulatory, banking, tax and property law.

Fun and friendly soft play at Galafield Family Hub.
There are two areas in our soft play. One is for younger children 0-2 years old. The other area is for 2-6 year olds.
A fun, weekly girls youth session. This is a youth led group.

A parent and toddler group for all parents and babies / toddlers.
We provide free tea & coffee with biscuits & juice. We also offer free surplus food for those who need it. 
As part of the SEND Celebration Events in June 2024, 'Skills for People' organised two Pamper Days for Newcastle Parent/Carers of children and young people with additional needs.
Parents/carers came along for a free morning of pampering, relaxation, a tasty lunch and a chat with other parent/carers.

Monthly themed fun family session for children 0-8 years and their parents and carers.
Our group is welcoming, friendly and an inclusive mainstream session. We are open to every child under 5. This is a music session.

Calling all dads and male carers. Join us, with the children you look after, for a fun filled play session.
This is a drop in session - no need to book.
A parent and toddler group is a welcoming and friendly group of adults. This includes mothers, fathers, childminders or carers.
They all come together in their own community with their children who are under the age of 5.
Parent and toddler groups offer play opportunities for children from birth to 5 year old, as well as an opportunity to mix with others. They also offer support to adults and a break from the normal routines of the day.
Booking maybe required at some groups.
East End Pool has inclusive swimming sessions. These are for people with sensory needs or disabilities.
There is a Disability changing room/shower and also a pool hoist for easy access into the pool. We also offer changing facilities for young people with continence issues.
