Throughout our camps, the children will get the opportunity to take part in lots of different activities ranging from a variety of arts and crafts to dance and fitness as well as board games, and sports games. The days are open to boys and girls from Yr3 - Yr6, the camps are FREE for FSM children and include a hot, nutritious meal and snacks throughout the day. A fun and friendly baby and toddler group for under 5s. Come and join us for arts and crafts, free play and story time with Islamic flavour.  We have a wide range of toys and craft activities suitable for all children.  Story time and health snack is provided.

The Alan Shearer Activity Centre is the only one of its kind in the North East offering free recreational, sensory and social facilities for disabled children and adults, their families, schools and groups.

To use our free facilities, you first need to become a member of the centre - which is also free - and you can join by downloading an application form from our websidewebsite: www.alanshearercentre.org.uk or by ringing the centre.

The Alan Shearer Short Break Centre offers specialised breaks, from overnight to longer stays, for children and adults with a range of disabilities.

Our dedicated staff are trained in caring for people with profound and multiple disabilities, autism and Asperger's Syndrome.

We offer skilled and experienced support for those with additional health or medical needs and those who require specialist care.

Situated within the Alan Shearer Centre, our specialist home offers residential accommodation for adults with profound and multiple disabilities, offering longer term, safe and nurturing care and support. In addition, our disabled residents have full access to the on-site Activity Centre.

If you would like to see our facilities, meet the staff and discuss your individual needs, Sarah will be happy to arrange a visit. You can also speak to Sarah if you would like to enquire about a place or find out details on the referral process and the criteria for admission.
