The Little Lotus Nursery


Thomas Bewick School is a special school within Prosper Learning Trust in Newcastle upon Tyne. It is for children and young people between three and nineteen years with autistic spectrum conditions. All pupils have a Statement of Special Educational Needs/ Education Health and Care Plan or are in the assessment process. They have a range of learning difficulties; some will require a high level of adult support to access the curriculum, whilst others achieve close to age-related expectations in some areas.


Thomas Walling Primary Academy is part of the Laidlaw Schools Trust. With four main base rooms and an enclosed large outdoor area our highly qualified staff team provide quality care and education for all of the children in their care.

The preschool is situated within the Blakelaw and Cowgate Families Matter Community Hub located on Lindfield Avenue nest door to Thomas Walling Primary School. Children have access to a wide range of developmentally appropriate good quality toys and equipment. We have At Home Bags that allow parents/carers to help their children continue their learning in their home environment. Staff are all qualified in Early Years with some staff having qualifications of Level 4 and above.




Walbottle Village Primary - We are a Primary school in the Outer West of Newcastle Upon Tyne.
Our Nursery is open to children from the term after their third birthday.


Walkergate Community Primary School is a true community primary school. Our aim is to make sure that every child does the best they possibly can. Welbeck Academy opened on 1 September 2012, in the former Welbeck Primary School, to serve the population of Walker and Byker in the east end of Newcastle upon Tyne and provides a first-class education for children aged 2 to 11 years. We are proud to be sponsored by WISE Academies and fully support the WISE ethos of aiming to be outstanding in all that we do. We are rightfully proud of the academy's provision which helps children to grow as individuals whilst aiming for the highest academic standards.


We are based within the Denton and Westerhope Sure Start Building. We have an enclosed part-covered outdoor area, We now have a new enclosed outdoor area at the front of the building with a mud kitchen plus a grassed area with a pirate boat, steering sit on frame, slide and picnic benches. We have 10 staff and are open for 5 mornings and 5 afternoons sessions term time only. We also offer some full time places as well for older children.
We have a wide range of equipment including soft play equipment and a smart board.


West Denton Primary School was built in 1955, when it was opened as a separate infant and junior school occupying two floors. In the early 1970’s, as a result of the introduction of the 3-tier system, the school became a first school occupying the ground floor
An annexe containing 4 classrooms and a separate nursery pre-fab was also added during the 1970’s these have now been demolished and a new extension was built in 2001.

This pre-school playgroup opened in February 2015 for children from 2 years to school age. We are situated in Woodlands Children's Centre, High Heaton, a purpose built children's centre next to Heaton Library and the Spinney. We offer a fun and stimulating environment with superb indoor and outdoor spaces for the children to play. Our staff are enthusiastic and professional with lots of experience of early years childcare. Sessions run 5 days a week


Wyndham Primary School is rated by Ofsted as a good school with some outstanding features.
We cater for approximately 240 children age 2+ - 11 years, including a 26 place Nursery and Playgroup class. The school has occupied its present site for over 50 years and is located between two very different residential areas in the north of the city of Newcastle.


We are a breakfast and after school club and we currently operate in term time
We have a homework club, reading club, arts and crafts activities and cookery class for our children to enjoy
Breakfast club 7.30 to 9.00 a.m or 8am until 8.45am
After school club 3.10 to 6pm
