Thanks to support from NCC and Street Games we are pleased to offer 4 weeks of Holiday Camps in July and August. With a range of indoor and outdoor activities, enrichment and possible day trips we want to provide as many children in our community as possible with the opportunity to become involved throughout the holidays. Each participant will also receive a healthy lunch provided each day and engage in regular daily physical activity.

I am an Ofsted registered childminder and I attained my 4th 'Outstanding' grade at my last inspection which was in January 2020. I have two level 3 qualifications relating to childcare, and through training I have become an accredited childminder. I have been childminding for 22 years.
A parent and toddler group is a welcoming and friendly group of adults. This includes mothers, fathers, childminders or carers.
They all come together in their own community with their children who are under the age of 5.
Parent and toddler groups offer play opportunities for children from birth to 5 year old, as well as an opportunity to mix with others. They also offer support to adults and a break from the normal routines of the day.
Booking maybe required at some groups.


Facilities:
- large, fully enclosed front and back gardens
- outdoor play equipment including climbing frame, swings, play house and slides as well as equipment suitable for early years including cars, smaller slides, swings and sand/water play area
- purpose built play room, used only for childminding purposes and containing a variety of toys and games from ages 0-12 as well as a quiet area for reading. Our reading area also has a wide variety of educational posters

We work with children and young people age 8-25 offering group activity sessions based on their age, one to one support, detached work and offsite activities.


This is a FREE service for parents/carers of children going through the diagnostic process or with a diagnosis of autism.
These groups give support, advice and information on services available to families. Trained autism practitioners will run sessions that aim to:

The Community Treatment Team provides a service for men and women over the age of 18 years who require a period of assessment and treatment. It provides five planned assessment clinics per week and a treatment service for people who are experiencing complex mental health difficulties. The team is made up of a number of health care professionals

All sessions are 10am to 2pm
North East Dance are providing FREE Dance and Fitness sessions. Session for children aged 5-12 years old who receive FREE school meals.
The sessions are a mix of dance and fitness styles including Street Dance, general dance, Zumba, and much more.

The Mental Health and Deafness Service, based at Walkergate Park in Newcastle upon Tyne, is for deaf and deafblind people aged 18 years or older who mainly use British Sign Language to communicate and who have mental health problems. We work with the Community Treatment Team (CTT) in your local area.

You can be referred by a Specialist Mental Health Service.

Northbourne Youth Initiative was set up in 2000. We are based in an end terrace house on the estate we have always had a presence in the local community and are embedded in the local area. We are a local charity working with those who need us most. Many are from the estate, but we are targeting a wider remit now, as we grow and are able to offer more services for young people.
