Rix Wiki

Tell your story

A “Wiki” is a simple and secure online platform which our children and young people and their families can use to build up information about them. Wiki’s are easily personalised with text, pictures and videos as well as links to help children and young people and their families/carers to “tell their story” once.

A personalised Wiki can be shared with professionals or anyone who the children, young person or their family chooses, so they are a powerful tool to ensure that their voice is heard, and their needs understood.

Professionals will be able to better understand how they can support children and young people to reach their goals and aspirations.

Newcastle Council is starting a project to try out 20 Rix Wikis over the next 12 months with children and young people with an Education, Health and Care Plan or in the assessment process. The licenses are free and available on a first come first   served basis.
