Hadrian is a school for primary aged children with a wide range of additional needs including complex, profound and multiple learning disabilities, severe and moderate learning difficulties, speech and language needs, physical, perceptual and sensory needs. We help all our children overcome their personal difficulties through highly trained and expert specialist teaching, through our amazing therapeutic curriculum and resources and our partnership work with parents/carers and health professionals.

Molehill Mountain is the first evidence-led smartphone app aiming to help autistic adults understand and self-manage their anxiety. Free, safe, confidential support for young people
Children and young people in Newcastle and Gateshead can now get help from mental health counsellors using a free online service supported by the NHS.
Kooth.com is an award-winning online counselling and support service which is now available to all young people in Newcastle and Gateshead aged 11-18 years.

We will nurture each child through their individual learning journey, to develop tolerance, resilience and a thirst for knowledge which will prepare them for the wider world.

What is the service?
NHS England has developed an in school eyecare service for all children in special schools across England.
The service will enable every child to get the most from their vision, including sight test, and the dispensing and fitting of glasses – all completed on the school premises.

We've launched a new dedicated helpline for children and young people whohave been victims of abuse at school and for worried adults and professionalsthat need support and guidance. Our new NSPCC helpline is called ReportAbuse in Education.
Working with the Department for Education (DFE), who have commissioned us on this initiative, we will run the bespoke helpline to provide appropriate support and advice regarding onward action, including contacting the police if they wish to.

Public Health School Nurses provide a range of health improvement and health promotion activities including confidential health advice for children and young people, an immunisation programme and assistance to school staff in the delivery of PHSE (personal health and social education).

The PATHWEYES Project is to work with SEND young people across the North East and Cumbria. It will engage SEND young people aged 11 - 25 and support them to access activities to benefit their physical and emotional well-being.

The National Autistic Society exists to champion the rights and interests of all people with autism and to ensure that they and their families receive quality services appropriate to their needs. The NAS provides information about Autism and Asperger syndrome, support and services throughout the UK.

Fairbridge works with some of the hardest to reach young people aged between 13-25 who are out of education, employment or training.
The Visual Impairment Additionally Resourced Provision (VIARP) for severely sight impaired (SSI) and sight impaired (SI) pupils is centrally funded by Newcastle City Council. Some of the pupils from neighbouring local authorities can also be placed in the VIARP.
The VIARP is staffed by one Qualified Teacher of Visual Impairment and two specialist Learning Support Assistants.
It is a fully inclusive provision and pupils with VI are included within mainstream classes with support from VIARP staff. This support includes -

Connecting Worlds autism training is based in the North East of England but covers all of the UK, offering face to face training to meet all training needs.
I have real-life experience to share, having a son with severe autism, a husband with high functioning autism and 20 years' experience working with children and adults with autism and related conditions. I worked for 15 years for a Local Authority as part of a specialist disabilities team, working alongside Speech and Language Therapists and Educational Psychologists. Provider of counselling services offering one-to-one support for mental health complaints such as anxiety, anger, trauma, relationship issues, and grief.

The service is an abstinent based supported housing service and national drug treatment organisation and we offer abstinence based accommodation in Tyneside for those in recovery for substance misuse. Our Supported Housing is delivered in partnership with local housing providers and offers people with substance misuse issues a structured package of support. There are 2 semi-independent houses in Tyneside with a total of 18 beds. The sites are staffed during the day and offered a tailored package of one-to-one care and group work.
The Newcastle Careers and Guidance Team provides careers information, advice and guidance to young people aged between 13 and 19, and up to 25 if you have a learning disability or difficulty.

West End Women and Girls Centre is the first and only open access, community based women and girls centre in Newcastle, we aim to build the power of women and girls, who have been and continue to be disenfranchised.
