Our breastfeeding social groups are for families living in Newcastle. They are relaxed, informal and friendly. They are a great way to

- get handy tips and information
- get support from a member of staff or volunteer.

PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Suicide provide confidential support and advice to young people struggling with thoughts of suicide, and anyone worried about a young person through the helpline, HOPELINE247.
We engage communities and volunteers in suicide prevention projects and deliver training programmes to individuals and groups. This includes equipping local councils, healthcare professionals and school staff with suicide prevention skills.

A parent and toddler group is a welcoming and friendly group of adults. This includes mothers, fathers, childminders or carers.
They all come together in their own community with their children who are under the age of 5.
Parent and toddler groups offer play opportunities for children from birth to 5 year old, as well as an opportunity to mix with others. They also offer support to adults and a break from the normal routines of the day.
Booking maybe required at some groups.
Baby massage is a lovely way to enjoy time with your baby. It can help you bond with them. It can also help with colic, teething, snuffles, and circulation.

These sessions mean that a young person can speak to workers as and when they feel the need of support or advice, or often when a crisis arises.

A group ran by North Benwell Youth Project. NBYP wish to see the young people of North Benwell enjoy the same possibilities of life as their peers in other areas of Newcastle upon Tyne: the young people of North Benwell will generate their own hope for the future and be the agents of their own destinies.

The Mums group currently meet every Thursday afternoon and has been running for over 4 years now.
It is a relaxed space where young women can meet with or without their children. They can have a coffee and chat, share information and advice, support each other when life seems tough, which can help to reduce feelings of isolation. Importantly the group always manage to have a laugh together.

A fun and friendly baby and toddler group for under 5s. Come and join us for arts and crafts, free play and story time with Islamic flavour. We have a wide range of toys and craft activities suitable for all children. Story time and health snack is provided.

We provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. We campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding.
We won't give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets support and respect.
The Sanctum service consists of safe accommodation for men and women who have experienced domestic abuse and who cannot access mainstream services of refuge for multiple reasons (e.g. if they have drug or alcohol issues, pets, older children etc). Service users are supported short-term for 3-6 months, during which they are provided with a safe hours, emotional support, signposting to long-term specialist services and support to help move them on safely and securely into their own long-term tenancy.
Benefits support and advice, Slovakian speaker present for interpreting to support.

Services include Domestic Abuse Flexible Support (DAFS), flexible and structured support for women affected by domestic abuse to achieve and maintain safety and independence, and the Freedom Programme, an 12 week group programme enabling women to recognise the signs of domestic abuse and explore its impact so the process of recovery can begin.
You can access the Helpline if you have been affected by domestic abuse or if you are worried about someone you know.

A free and confidential dog fostering service for people fleeing domestic abuse and going into refuge or other emergency accommodation.

RCTN provide services to women and girls who live, work or study in Tyneside and Northumberland. Their services are for women and girls over 13 who have experienced any form of sexual violence at any time in their lives. Services include confidential counselling, advocacy, helpline, email support, specialist information and ISVA services. All of the services are free, safe and professional.
A one-to-one Live Chat Helpline for women and girls aged 16 and over can be accessed on the national Rape Crisis website
Open to anyone who has experienced anti-LGBTQIA+ violence or harassment and needs a safe space to talk. The helpline is run by LGBTQIA+ people and is completely confidential. It is operated by Galop, the LGBTQIA+ anti-violence charity supporting people facing hate crime, domestic abuse and sexual violence.
