The Newcastle Careers and Guidance Team offers impartial and confidential careers information, advice and support to young people up to the age of 19 without an Education Health and Care Plan (EHC plan) if they live in Newcastle or attend a Newcastle school. (Please note, young people with an EHC plan are supported by their SEN caseworker)
Our focus is on preparing young people aged 14-19 for the world of work. We achieve this using our state of the art learning facilities in the heart of the West End of the city.

Headliners (UK) is a national youth charity that works to empower young people and young to adults to have a voice through a unique journalism programme. This project is to work young people who are 16-25 from new, emerging and established migrant communities from Tyneside.

The Millin Charity provide a range of services to help women in Newcastle & Gateshead to set up their own businesses, gain employability skills, access training and be part of a supportive community of women working towards financial independence.
We’ve provided specialist enterprise training, advice and support for women in Newcastle upon Tyne for over 20 years.
A Chance to Trade
We deliver a programme of specialist enterprise support, training & workshops through the A Chance To Trade Project. This project is supported by funds from the European Structural Investment Funds as part of Newcastle CLLD and Tyne & Wear Community Foundation.

The TikTok Creative Academy is an employability programme that have been empowering 18–24-year-olds to access jobs in the creative industries for over a year! As a privately funded initiative through TikTok, their program offers a unique avenue of support that can be accessed alongside other government or private programs.

NIDAS offer a range of specialist emotional and practical support including:
The Sanctum service consists of safe accommodation for men and women who have experienced domestic abuse and who cannot access mainstream services of refuge for multiple reasons (e.g. if they have drug or alcohol issues, pets, older children etc). Service users are supported short-term for 3-6 months, during which they are provided with a safe hours, emotional support, signposting to long-term specialist services and support to help move them on safely and securely into their own long-term tenancy.
Services include Domestic Abuse Flexible Support (DAFS), flexible and structured support for women affected by domestic abuse to achieve and maintain safety and independence, and the Freedom Programme, an 12 week group programme enabling women to recognise the signs of domestic abuse and explore its impact so the process of recovery can begin.
You can access the Helpline if you have been affected by domestic abuse or if you are worried about someone you know.
A free and confidential dog fostering service for people fleeing domestic abuse and going into refuge or other emergency accommodation.
RCTN provide services to women and girls who live, work or study in Tyneside and Northumberland. Their services are for women and girls over 13 who have experienced any form of sexual violence at any time in their lives. Services include confidential counselling, advocacy, helpline, email support, specialist information and ISVA services. All of the services are free, safe and professional.
A one-to-one Live Chat Helpline for women and girls aged 16 and over can be accessed on the national Rape Crisis website
Open to anyone who has experienced anti-LGBTQIA+ violence or harassment and needs a safe space to talk. The helpline is run by LGBTQIA+ people and is completely confidential. It is operated by Galop, the LGBTQIA+ anti-violence charity supporting people facing hate crime, domestic abuse and sexual violence.

The Northumbria SARC offers free support and practical help to anyone in Northumbria who has experienced sexual violence and/or sexual abuse.

SomeOne Cares is a counselling service with an Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) who can provide emotional and practical support to meet the needs of anyone aged 11+ who has experienced sexual violence at any time in their life whether they have reported this to the police or not. The ISVA can also support anyone who is thinking of reporting an offence to the police and would like impartial information around this.
We are a UK charity dedicated to raising awareness of economic abuse and transforming responses to it. Our vision is a world in which women and girls are economically equal and live their lives free of abuse and exploitation. The aim of the Financial Support Line is to empower people who have experienced or are experiencing abuse to regain control of their finances.
Support for adult victims of intimate image and video abuse. They can provide advice, guidance and support to remove intimate content which has been non-consensually shared online.
A therapeutic service which aims to reduce the impact of abusive or traumatic experiences on children, young people and families. The Wellness Recovery Project delivers 1-2-1 counselling and therapeutic support for women, children and young people who have been witness to and victims of domestic abuse and sexual violence, or who may have suffered from bereavement and loss.
A range of support services provided by trained professionals who are specialists in the field of male sexual violence. SurvivorsUK was established as a service for male survivors of rape and sexual violence, however they are an inclusive service and welcome anyone who identifies as male, trans, non-binary, has identified as male in the past, or anyone who feels that they are the right fit for them.
