Thomas Bewick School is a special school within Prosper Learning Trust in Newcastle upon Tyne. It is for children and young people between three and nineteen years with autistic spectrum conditions. All pupils have a Statement of Special Educational Needs/ Education Health and Care Plan or are in the assessment process. They have a range of learning difficulties; some will require a high level of adult support to access the curriculum, whilst others achieve close to age-related expectations in some areas.

The Newcastle Careers and Guidance Team offers impartial and confidential careers information, advice and support to young people up to the age of 19 without an Education Health and Care Plan (EHC plan) if they live in Newcastle or attend a Newcastle school. (Please note, young people with an EHC plan are supported by their SEN caseworker)
Here at The Prince’s Trust, we offer various programmes aiming to get young people between the ages of 11 and 30 into education, training or employment. We do this by delivering programmes based around building confidence, employability and wellbeing skills. We offer work experience programmes as well as employment opportunities. We are a tutor matching service providing home and private tutors in your area for primary, secondary and degree level private or home tuition. Our UK private tutors cover a wide range of subjects including English and Maths and other niche subjects like languages. Private tuition for Entrance exams, A-Levels, GCSEs and SATs are all catered for across the UK.
Our focus is on preparing young people aged 14-19 for the world of work. We achieve this using our state of the art learning facilities in the heart of the West End of the city.
You should choose Trinity Solutions if you want the chance to learn and gain qualifications (including GCSE English and maths) in a real working environment, while also having the opportunity to gain real work experience with local employers. This course is ideal for you whether you have been out of work for a while or recently out of work and would like support to move into employment, self-employment or further training.
Through this 5-week course, you will be supported to increase confidence & motivation and to think about & put a plan in place to help you to move forward and take your next steps.

Newcastle United Foundation are delivery partners for the Princes Trust and deliver a 12 week full time employability programme to 16 - 25 year olds not already in education, employment or training.

Time to Talk Next Steps is free support for young people in England in this age group with additional needs. It is for young people who are experiencing anxiety, isolation and who have limited or no plans for the future. You may be in school or in college or have finished all education and be unsure how to move forward.

Headliners (UK) is a national youth charity that works to empower young people and young to adults to have a voice through a unique journalism programme. This project is to work young people who are 16-25 from new, emerging and established migrant communities from Tyneside.
Our 12 week part time, NCFE accredited Functional Skills programmes (Level 1 and 2) are the flexible and accessible alternative to the GCSE route, recognised by all employers. Open to ages 16 - 24 years.
YESNE is a youth employment service, funded by the Youth Futures Foundation, that aims to serve neurodivergent individuals living in Tyne & Wear.
Support to look for work; complete job applications and CVs; practise interview skills and practise English, Maths and ICT.
This is to support ages 16-25 year olds. For North Benwell Families only.
Staff are on hand to offer advice and guidance, help with C.V.’s, applying for online courses, applying to college, applying for benefits and settled status applications too. There are laptops and P.C.'s and printers available to use.
We can also support young people with housing issues, apostils, document identity, opening bank accounts, and navigating the universal credit system.

The Millin Charity provide a range of services to help women in Newcastle & Gateshead to set up their own businesses, gain employability skills, access training and be part of a supportive community of women working towards financial independence.
We’ve provided specialist enterprise training, advice and support for women in Newcastle upon Tyne for over 20 years.
A Chance to Trade
We deliver a programme of specialist enterprise support, training & workshops through the A Chance To Trade Project. This project is supported by funds from the European Structural Investment Funds as part of Newcastle CLLD and Tyne & Wear Community Foundation.
