Drug & alcohol use can threaten and ultimately destroy family relationships and wellbeing. We empower family members and carers, support frontline workers and influence decision-makers to stop this happening.
Honest information and support about drugs.
We want to encourage people to reduce their consumption of alcohol – and reduce the impact that alcohol is having on the North East.
How are we doing this?
This is achieved by three key areas of activity:
Alcohol change UK is a leading UK alcohol charity, formed from the merger of Alcohol Concern and Alcohol Research UK.
Alcohol is a part of many of our lives. We use it for celebration, for comfort, to socialise, to wind down, to cope. We treat it differently to other drugs; it’s legal, socially acceptable, even encouraged.
Yet in the UK one person every hour dies as a result of alcohol. Alcohol harm – mental health problems, liver disease, one of seven forms of cancer, economic difficulties, and so much more – can affect any one of us, from any walk of life.
NTaR covers all of drug and alcohol services within Newcastle and is an ageless service.
Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust are the lead provider in partnership with Humankind and Changing Lives under the name of NTaR.
Our Private Treatment Services combine comfortable, quality accommodation; with outstanding therapy programmes that are proven to support your recovery from addiction and help improve all aspects of your life. Accessing our services couldn’t be easier… check out our range of residential alcohol rehab and drug rehab treatment programmes and facilities, then contact us to be guided through our simple admission process!
We are a group specifically for families with twins, triplets and higher order multiples aged 0-5 to meet, play and support each other. Siblings are also welcome to join the fun!
Our group is welcoming, friendly and an inclusive mainstream session. We are open to every child that is a multiple and their families under 5.
