I am a qualified nursery nurse and ofsted registered childminder graded good with in excess of 27 years post qualifying experience, caring for children from birth to 12 years. Scotswood Village Nursery is a setting based in the West End of Newcastle, which provides high quality care and early education for children aged 2-4 years.

At St Gabriels we promote learning through play. We feel it is important for children of all ages to be encouraged to explore and develop their own thinking. Developing an inquisitive mind will in turn enable children to become problem solvers to discover and learn at their own pace.

Activities within the nursery are planned with this in mind and the Early Years Foundation Stage  Framework.

Newcastle School for Boys is a school that caters for boys from 3-18. All of the boys who enter Early Years are part of our School community.

Plantpots Playgroup/Preschool is an Ofsted registered nursery for children aged 2-5 years. Based at the Great Park Community Centre in Gosforth we are both Montessori-inspired and encourage children to learn through play with an emphasis on freeflow outdoor play. 

We are open from 9am-3pm, Monday to Friday, term time only, and offer wrap around care from 8-9am (breakfast included)
