FE Mainstream

Level 1 up to Level 3

Entry criteria can depend on the course and level. Visit open days and apply direct.

Usually done alone but maybe combined with the 3rd sector and work placements.

Specialist College

Usually entry level 1 to entry level 3 but it may be possible to do higher level qualifications

Applications have to be approved by the Local Authority funding panel and are made via the NE12 process. This will usually only happen if other suitable provision is not available. All applicants must have an EHC plan.

Further education, work based learning, Working Newcastle and work placement.

Work based learning study programme

Usually entry level 3 to level 2

Bespoke

Usually entry level 2 to level 2

Limited places available. Applications are via the GDCDuO_Mdso team. This provision is for young people who require intensive/specialist support. There may be age restriction without an EHC plan

Usually entry level 1 to level 1

Applications are via GDCDuO_Mdso or direct to New Traxs. They hold regular open events.
