Free Service
Gateshead and Newcastle Homeless Service provides an assessment and treatment service for people who are homeless or who are living in insecure accommodation and who are experiencing difficulties with their mental health.
The service is for men and women over the age of 18 years who are homeless or living in insecure accommodation who require a period of assessment and treatment. In some circumstances someone aged 16-18 years old may be offered an assessment then referred to an appropriate service.
The service is provided by staff working out of Community Treatment Teams.

Geordie Mums is a self-advocacy, social and supportive group for Mums with a learning disability and autistic Mums.
The group meets once a month, on a Wednesday morning.
The group always welcomes new members. To find out more, or to talk about joining the group, please get in touch by phone or email.
George Street Social is run by the Road to Recovery Trust with the aim to help and support people recover from addiction. There are a range of support groups and mutual aid groups running from George Street Social, which is a safe and welcoming space. You can be at any stage of your recovery to attend.

Children accepted from 2 years to 4 years 11months. It is Β£18/Β£30 per session. Wrap around at Β£6 per hour per child. or Β£56 per day occasional care inc snack
For girls aged 8-13 years. Play music, sing, mc, learn an instrument.

For girls aged 11-13.
The group offers opportunities to explore life and relationship issues and practise life-skills such as planning and organising in a safe environment. This will also help to build self-esteem and confidence.

Newcastle Music Service in partnership with Gosforth Academy Music Department and Gosforth Schools Trust are offering young people the opportunity to play and sing with other instrumentalists
This activity is for year 3,4, 5, 6 and 7 pupils

Gosforth Central Middle School caters for a maximum of 504 boys and girls between the ages of 9 and 13 years. In recent years each year group year has been oversubscribed with particular demand in Years 5 and 7.
Most of our pupils are drawn from Archbishop Runcie, Grange and South Gosforth First Schools. However, pupils from other schools are admitted each year, so long as places are available.

Gosforth Civic Theatre is an arts venue, cafΓ© and community hub in Gosforth, and is home to, and run by, Liberdade Community Development Trust.
We opened Gosforth Civic Theatre in 2016, and in 2019 we hosted more than 900 events and activities, and invited over 50,000 people through our doors. In the words of Ozzy, one of our founding members, we opened the theatre because;


The Gaming Social is a weekly gaming drop in for young people to socialise and mix in a relaxed environment. This is free so anyone can attend. Gamers can play a huge range of consoles with friends.

Come and sing with us! Our youth choir will provide a place of belonging. It is a family where young people can be educated on the rich heritage of gospel music. They can explore harmonies and learn to work together.


The Visual Impairment Additionally Resourced Provision (VIARP) for severely sight impaired (SSI) and sight impaired (SI) pupils is centrally funded by Newcastle City Council. Some of the pupils from neighbouring local authorities can also be placed in the VIARP.
The VIARP is staffed by one Qualified Teacher of Visual Impairment and two specialist Learning Support Assistants.
It is a fully inclusive provision and pupils with VI are included within mainstream classes with support from VIARP staff. This support includes -

The school is a Community Co-educational First School. The building has a large hall and adjoining dining area. We have six classrooms for Key stages 1 & 2. The Foundation Stage Unit for Nursery and Reception age children consists of three classrooms and an outside play area / outdoor classroom. We have a small group working room / medical room and library areas. We also have a centralised computer suite with controlled access to the Internet.



Grange First School is a community school catering for a maximum of 352 boys and girls between the ages of 3 and 9 years.
We donβt just provide footwear at Grassboots. Over the last few months weβve given out numerous items of baby clothing, pushchairs, baths, cots and accessories to families and individuals who are really struggling.

Green Tree Nursery is a 50 place private day nursery situated in Old Benwell Village based in a large 2-storey building, which since 2002 has provided an excellent standard of care and learning experiences to children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. Registered with Ofsted
The nursery is open for 51 weeks of the year Monday till Friday 7.30 a.m. β 6.00 p.m.
