Pathways 4 All is a parent-led charity, providing leisure services for children and young people with disabilities/ additional needs (0-25 years old). Our primary service is a specialist play and activity provision, the Tim Lamb Centre (in the grounds of the Rising Sun County Park, Benton). Our centre is open to families from across the North East region.
Hadrian is a school for primary aged children with a wide range of additional needs including complex, profound and multiple learning disabilities, severe and moderate learning difficulties, speech and language needs, physical, perceptual and sensory needs. We help all our children overcome their personal difficulties through highly trained and expert specialist teaching, through our amazing therapeutic curriculum and resources and our partnership work with parents/carers and health professionals.
Molehill Mountain is the first evidence-led smartphone app aiming to help autistic adults understand and self-manage their anxiety. The app has been developed by Autistica and researchers at King’s College London with input from autistic people and funding from Maudsley Charity and The Worshipful Company of Information Technologists.
Public Health School Nurses provide a range of health improvement and health promotion activities including confidential health advice for children and young people, an immunisation programme and assistance to school staff in the delivery of PHSE (personal health and social education).

The service is an abstinent based supported housing service and national drug treatment organisation and we offer abstinence based accommodation in Tyneside for those in recovery for substance misuse. Our Supported Housing is delivered in partnership with local housing providers and offers people with substance misuse issues a structured package of support. There are 2 semi-independent houses in Tyneside with a total of 18 beds. The sites are staffed during the day and offered a tailored package of one-to-one care and group work.
The Charity Patchwork was set up in order to help and educate young people between the ages of 8 and 25 years resident in the West End of Newcastle Upon Tyne and the surrounding area. This includes those who are involved in the Criminal Justice System or at risk of becoming involved in the Criminal Justice System, without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or political, religious or other opinion.

Tyneside Women’s Health was established in 1985 with the key aim of helping women to improve their mental health and emotional wellbeing.
Tyneside Women’s Health offers a range of interventions for women including drop in sessions, support groups, mental health courses, counselling, and various therapeutic activities such as relaxation. Cruse Bereavement Care (CRUSE) is a national charity committed to promoting the well-being of bereaved people. Skills for People is a user-led, voluntary organisation based in Newcastle upon Tyne. Since 1983 we have been working to make sure that disabled people and their families can be in control of their own lives; strong, confident and involved in the communities of their choice. Skills for People and North East Special Needs Network merged in 2017 to make one organisation.
Our Family Advice and Support team (FAS) work with parents and carers of disabled children and young people up to the age of 25 years to provide co-ordinated support.
Here at The Prince’s Trust, we offer various programmes aiming to get young people between the ages of 11 and 30 into education, training or employment. We do this by delivering programmes based around building confidence, employability and wellbeing skills. We offer work experience programmes as well as employment opportunities. The National Breastfeeding Helpline offers friendly, non-judgemental, independent, evidence based breastfeeding support and information to anyone in the UK who needs it. The helpline is provided by the Breastfeeding Network and the Association of Breastfeeding Mothers.
Family Fund supports families living across the UK who are who are raising a disabled or seriously ill child or young person up to the age of 17. Our support is focused on those on low incomes with a child/children who have a high level of additional support needs.
At Family Fund, we believe that all families raising disabled or seriously ill children and young people should have the same choices, quality of life, opportunities and aspirations as other families.
The Nystagmus Network is a registered charity in England and Wales supporting people living with nystagmus. Nystagmus is a complex eye condition, characterised by involuntary movements of the eye. The eyes appear to wobble or flicker from side to side, up and down or round and round. Nystagmus causes impaired vision, affecting the ability to focus, speed and depth perception and facial recognition. At least 1 in 1,000 people are born with nystagmus and many more acquire the condition later in life.

Today, 10 children and young people in the UK will hear the shocking news that they have cancer.
Treatment normally starts immediately, is often given many miles from home and can last for up to three years. Being diagnosed with cancer is a frightening experience and the emotional, practical and financial implications of treatment are intensely challenging for the whole family.

Retina UK is the national charity for families living with inherited retinal dystrophies. We fund research and provide information and support to those affected by inherited sight loss and the professionals who support them.

EDNE aims to help people in Tyneside, Wearside, Northumberland and County Durham whose lives are affected by eating distress, or eating disorders. We do this by providing a range of services including individual counselling, mindfulness courses, a support group for carers, health topic workshops, information and training. We also work in schools and other settings to increase knowledge and awareness of eating distress and its effects.
