Molehill Mountain is the first evidence-led smartphone app aiming to help autistic adults understand and self-manage their anxiety. The app has been developed by Autistica and researchers at King’s College London with input from autistic people and funding from Maudsley Charity and The Worshipful Company of Information Technologists.
Free, safe, confidential support for young people
Children and young people in Newcastle and Gateshead can now get help from mental health counsellors using a free online service supported by the NHS.
Kooth.com is an award-winning online counselling and support service which is now available to all young people in Newcastle and Gateshead aged 11-18 years.

The service supports young people living in Newcastle, through a range of projects offering holistic support, information and advice. All interventions are delivered with the Barnardo’s Trauma Informed practice. Projects include: The Independence Project: Young People aged 12-18 years. 1:1 support, for up to 6months. The service is an abstinent based supported housing service and national drug treatment organisation and we offer abstinence based accommodation in Tyneside for those in recovery for substance misuse. Our Supported Housing is delivered in partnership with local housing providers and offers people with substance misuse issues a structured package of support. There are 2 semi-independent houses in Tyneside with a total of 18 beds. The sites are staffed during the day and offered a tailored package of one-to-one care and group work.
The Charity Patchwork was set up in order to help and educate young people between the ages of 8 and 25 years resident in the West End of Newcastle Upon Tyne and the surrounding area. This includes those who are involved in the Criminal Justice System or at risk of becoming involved in the Criminal Justice System, without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or political, religious or other opinion.
The Newcastle Careers and Guidance Team offers impartial and confidential careers information, advice and support to young people up to the age of 19 without an Education Health and Care Plan (EHC plan) if they live in Newcastle or attend a Newcastle school. (Please note, young people with an EHC plan are supported by their SEN caseworker)

The Nystagmus Network is a registered charity in England and Wales supporting people living with nystagmus. Nystagmus is a complex eye condition, characterised by involuntary movements of the eye. The eyes appear to wobble or flicker from side to side, up and down or round and round. Nystagmus causes impaired vision, affecting the ability to focus, speed and depth perception and facial recognition. At least 1 in 1,000 people are born with nystagmus and many more acquire the condition later in life.

Sibs is a UK charity for siblings who may be finding it hard to cope with a brother or sister who is disabled, has special educational needs or a serious long term condition.
It is the only UK charity representing the needs of over half a million young siblings and over one and a half million adult siblings.
Sibs can give information and advice both over the phone and online. Sibs also runs YoungSibs, an online only support service for siblings in the UK aged 7 to 17.

Beacon Films CIC is a multi-award winning training and production organisation for filmmakers with learning disabilities, autism and additional needs.
For young people (aged 6 - 19) with no experience of filmmaking, Beacon Films runs a BFI Film Academy from November - February each year, during which young people learn all about filmmaking by creating and starring in their own short film. Between the hours of 9am and 4.30pm the Turf is often used by the school, however external bookings may be available for the pitch and the indoor hall & activity area. From 5pm to 9.30pm every weekday and all across the weekend a variety of sessions take place or the turf is available for private hire at extremely competitive prices
Our pitch is ideal for junior football training & 7 v 7 matches, and adult social games with friends or colleagues.
