Welcome to Newcastle's Early Education and Childcare Directory.
Childcare Search
to use the search simply put in the postcode where you are looking for childcare (for example your home or work). You can also use filters to find information such as who picks up from your child's school, or who offers free early education places for under fives. You can also see providers on a map and create a short list of settings. If you can’t find what you are looking for, please email EarlyYears@newcastle.gov.uk.

What different types of childcare are there?
We work with Ofsted to provide information about registered childcare providers such as day nurseries, childminders, pre-school playgroups, before and after school and holiday clubs, as well as nursery schools and classes. In the information about each childcare setting, you will also find useful information such as the grade from their last Ofsted inspection.
